Dr. Vanitha trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at a time when the specialty in Chennai was moving quickly, towards keyhole surgery, towards better monitoring in pregnancy, and towards fertility medicine as a discipline of its own rather than an afterthought. She has practised across all three since.
Her clinical work spans gynaecological endoscopy, the management of pregnancies that need closer watching, and the assessment and treatment of infertility. Patients who come to her about one of these often turn out to need help with another, which is a large part of why she has kept all three.
