Due date calculator

Work out your due date, how far along you are, and when each scan and test usually falls.

Everything is calculated on your phone. Nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.

If you have had an early dating scan, the date from that scan is more accurate than this calculation.

How this works

Your due date is 280 days after the first day of your last period, adjusted for your cycle length (Naegele’s rule). From a conception date it is 266 days; from an IVF transfer, 261 days for a day 5 embryo and 263 for a day 3 embryo. The timeline shows the usual window for each visit and test.

Common questions

Questions we are asked most.

General information, not medical advice for your situation. Bring your own question to a consultation.

Ask on WhatsApp
When should I book my first antenatal visit?
As soon as a home test is positive, ideally between six and eight weeks. The first visit confirms the pregnancy and its location, dates it accurately, checks blood pressure and baseline blood tests, and starts folic acid if you have not already.
What makes a pregnancy high-risk?
High blood pressure or diabetes, thyroid disease, twins, age above 35 or below 18, a previous caesarean or pregnancy loss, or concerns about the baby’s growth. It means the pregnancy is watched more closely with extra scans and visits. It does not mean something will go wrong.
Can I have a normal delivery after a caesarean?
Often yes. Vaginal birth after caesarean, or VBAC, is possible for many women and depends on why the first caesarean was done, the type of scar on the uterus, the gap since that birth, and how this pregnancy is progressing. It is a decision made together, well before labour.
