How this works

Ovulation usually happens about 14 days before the next period starts, whatever the length of the cycle. The fertile window is the five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself, because sperm can survive for up to five days.

Common questions

Questions we are asked most.

General information, not medical advice for your situation. Bring your own question to a consultation.

Ask on WhatsApp
How long should we try before seeing a fertility specialist?
Generally one year of regular unprotected sex if you are under 35, and six months if you are 35 or older. Come sooner if your periods are irregular or absent, if you have known PCOS or endometriosis, if you have had pelvic surgery, or if you have had two or more miscarriages.
Does PCOS mean I will not be able to get pregnant?
No. PCOS affects how regularly you ovulate, not whether you can conceive at all, and many women with PCOS become pregnant. Treatment usually starts with weight, insulin and cycle management, then ovulation induction if needed, well before assisted treatment is considered.
